Serious question, has the self checkout coupon trick at Kroger ever backfired on you?
Last Tuesday at the Kroger on Maple Street, I scanned a $2 off digital coupon on my phone but the machine had already rung up the full price cereal, so it doubled the discount and the screen flashed an error. The worker had to void the whole order and start over, and I stood there for 10 minutes while the line behind me glared at me. Now I load the coupons before I even walk in the door, but I still feel bad about holding everyone up. Does anyone else have a hack for keeping digital coupons from glitching the scanner?
