PSA: clipping coupons for stuff you don't normally buy is not saving money
Everyone in this group brags about stacking coupons, but last Saturday at a Kroger in Dayton I watched a woman in front of me pay $61 for three carts of stuff she got 40% off, and half of it was cereal and candles she never planned to buy. I used to do the same thing until I added up my receipts for two weeks and saw I was spending $90 more than before I started couponing. The real trick is a list and a hard cap, not a binder full of deals. How many of you track your total spend instead of just the percent you saved?
