Pro tip: quit chasing cash back apps and just call your internet company once a year
I spent almost 6 hours last month bouncing between three cash back apps trying to claw back maybe $12 on my grocery run, and it was the biggest waste of a Saturday I can remember. Then my wife said to just call Comcast and ask for the new customer rate. That call took 11 minutes and dropped our bill from $89 to $54 a month for the same speed. Do the math on that one, that is $420 a year for basically one phone call. I still use one coupon app for stuff I already buy, but the apps are mostly crumbs compared to just asking for a better rate. Has anyone else had luck calling their cell or insurance company and getting a real discount, or did they just try to sell you more stuff?
