My uncle swears you can ask for a rain check on any out of stock sale item at Kroger and they will honor the price for 30 days, so last month I tried it on a $60 air fryer deal that was sold out at the Nashville store on Nolensville Rd. The cashier said rain checks only work on items listed in the weekly ad with a specific tag, not on clearance or app-only deals, and I had already driven 25 minutes each way twice. Does anyone know which stores still do real rain checks, or is that just something our parents got away with in the 90s?
