Coupon stacking at my local grocer changed my bill by $48
I started combining store app offers with manufacturer digital coupons at the Kroger on 5th Street about 2 months ago. Last Thursday my cart of 30 items rang up at $67 instead of the usual $115, mostly because I sorted the deals by highest percentage off first. Has anyone else noticed the app's 'lowest price' filter hiding better per-unit discounts on bulk packs?

That Kroger app has burned me more than it's helped. Last month I saw the "lowest price" tag on a 12-pack of soda, but the 24-pack was literally 3 cents more per can. The filter hides the real math sometimes. Bulk packs often look bigger on the tag but the per unit price is worse. I always check the little price per ounce line under the big number now. Your $48 savings is solid, just saying that filter ain't always your friend.
