Why does nobody talk about $15 SATA docks failing silently?
Picked up a cheap sata dock last month to clone an old laptop drive, and it corrupted half the transfer without a single error message. Lost about 80GB of vacation pics and now I'm paranoid about every external drive I own. Anyone else get burned by budget docks or am I just unlucky?
