My 2005 LCD monitor survived a power surge but lost all its menus
Last week a storm rolled through and killed my surge protector, but the old Dell 2005FPW still turns on. Problem is, the OSD buttons do absolutely nothing now. Can't change brightness or input, it's stuck on VGA at whatever settings I had. Tried unplugging for 24 hours, holding all buttons at once, even cracked it open to check the ribbon cable. Nothing. Has anyone else had a monitor lose just the menu controls but keep working? Is there some hidden reset trick or do I just live with it until the panel finally dies?
