Just realized my 2011 iPod Classic still holds a charge after 6 weeks in a drawer
I read a thread on here about old hard drive based players and it got me digging through my closet in Tacoma. Found my old 160GB iPod Classic that I stopped using around 2016, charged it up, and it lasted almost 9 hours on a single charge. The battery was supposed to be dead after sitting that long. Anyone else have old gear that somehow beats the odds like this?

Doesn't it seem like old gear was just built tougher, like they wanted it to last decades instead of months?
