My neighbor saw my sad basil and asked one question that fixed my whole setup
I was complaining to my neighbor Dave on the third floor about my basil turning yellow after 4 weeks, and he asked if I was watering from the top or bottom. Turns out I was dumping water straight on the leaves every morning, which was baking them on my south facing balcony in Tucson. Started bottom watering through the drainage holes twice a week and the thing bounced back in 10 days. Anyone else switch to bottom watering for herbs, or does it depend on the pot?

Bottom watering saved my mint too after leaf burn, total game changer once I switched pots.
