Just counted 24 cherry tomatoes off one tiny plant this morning

I've been growing this little cherry tomato plant in a 5 inch pot on my balcony railing for about 2 months now. Honestly I didn't expect much since the pot is so small and the wind up here can be rough. But this morning I took a closer look and realized there were 24 little green tomatoes starting to form... I counted twice just to be sure. Has anyone else had a balcony plant surprise them with way more fruit than you thought possible?

24 green tomatoes is a lot for a 5 inch pot, I mean, I've grown cherry tomatoes in 8 gallon pots before and gotten maybe 30 total over a whole season. Not to be a downer, but are you sure they're all going to make it? I've had plants throw out a ton of flowers and tiny fruit only to have half of them drop off when it got windy or the pot dried out for a day. Idk, maybe I'm just jaded from my own balcony fails, but I'd wait until they actually turn red before counting it as a win. Also, 5 inches is really small for soil volume, that plant is going to need water like twice a day in the heat. Just saying, don't get too hyped until you taste one.

@sean_murray sounds like you’ve got some serious tomato trauma, maybe you need a support group for balcony fails. I’ll start watering my tiny pot every hour just in case.
