The bakery on 9th in Eugene sold me a broken buttercream and it fixed my cakes
I watched their decorator frost a whole sheet cake in about 90 seconds last month, and she never once scraped the bowl between colors. My roses look like actual roses now, has anyone else picked up a trick just from standing there and staring?
Isn't watching someone who's actually good kind of misleading though? She's been doing it for years, so her hands already know what to do, and yours don't just because you stared at her for ten minutes. I've learned more from messing up my own frosting ten times than from watching a pro who makes it look easy.
