Hit 50 failed macarons before my first perfect batch

I kept track on a sticky note stuck to my fridge. The shells cracked or stuck every single time, and I almost gave up. Then on attempt 51, I got the batter consistency right and they came out with feet and everything. Has anyone else had a specific number of fails that felt like a turning point?

Honestly I had that with sourdough, took me like 30 loaves to stop making bricks. What finally worked for me was just ignoring the clock and going by how the dough looked and felt, kinda like @hugo_ellis said about patience. It just clicks after a while.
