That old Popular Mechanics issue from 1989 predicting we'd all have flying cars by 2000 still gets passed around my shop

Honestly, I visited a car museum last month and they had a whole display on futuristic vehicles from that era - the predictions were laughable but the optimism was kinda charming. Has anyone else seen how wrong those old forecasts were about urban air traffic?
