That 1977 'videophone will replace mail' article aged like milk, just read it at my dentist's office
Sitting in Cleveland last Tuesday flipping through a Reader's Digest and found this Bell Labs prediction saying we'd all be video calling by 1985, so I tried to FaceTime my grandma's landline and the operator laughed at me, anyone else got a favorite old-tech miss that feels this hilariously wrong now?

Small correction, that videophone prediction was actually from 1964 at the World's Fair, not 1977. Bell Labs demoed it there and folks thought we'd all have one in our homes by the 80s. Funny how the tech showed up anyway, just through phones in our pockets instead of a box on the desk.
