My dad bet me $50 in 2008 that nobody would ever watch movies on a phone
Back in 2008 my dad sat me down after dinner and said streaming video on a tiny phone screen was a fad that would die in a year, and he put $50 on it. I picked the other side and we shook on it. Last month I was waiting at a Jiffy Lube in Dayton and watched a whole 90 minute movie on my phone while the oil drained. I still haven't collected that $50, mostly because I want to see how long he holds out. What old tech bet did someone in your family lose and never admit it?
