Found a 1995 magazine claiming the internet would kill off pizza delivery
I was cleaning out my grandfather's basement last weekend and found a copy of Newsweek from April 1995. There's a quote from some tech analyst saying the internet would make pizza delivery obsolete by 2000 because everyone would just order groceries online or something. This guy predicted we'd all be eating dehydrated astronaut food delivered through a tube in our wall. I ordered Domino's on my phone while reading it. Has anyone else found old predictions that just completely missed reality?

The tube thing is funny because people always predict the wildest part of tech will become normal, but it never does. That same 90s thinking had us believing we'd all be using video phones constantly and reading everything on screens, yet here I am still calling my mom on a regular phone and buying actual books. What they always miss is that people like their routines and their comfort food. Sure, I order stuff online now, but I also still drive to the store when I want something specific that day. Tech changes how we do things, but it rarely does away with the simple stuff we actually enjoy.
