Found a 1991 article saying the internet was just a fad

I was cleaning out my dad's basement last weekend and found a stack of old computer magazines. One from 1991 had an op-ed that said the internet would never replace libraries or newspapers. The guy basically argued people like holding physical stuff too much to go digital. Guess he was wrong about that. Anybody else ever find old tech predictions that make you laugh?

Turns out my hot take from 1995 that the internet was just a passing phase didn't age well either. I remember telling my buddy that nobody would ever buy shoes without trying them on first. Now I'm pretty sure I've bought more stuff online than in actual stores over the last ten years. At least your dad's magazine had some decent arguments behind it, mine was just me being stubborn about learning how to use a mouse.

Wait, wasn't that article right about libraries and newspapers being basically dead?
