Vent: The day I tried to play a 'cozy' game and ended up rage-quitting before the tutorial ended
I was at my desk last Saturday, thought I'd finally check out that farming sim everyone's been talking about. Ten minutes in and the controls are a mess, the character walks slower than my grandma, and the text is this tiny font I could barely read. I spent another fifteen minutes trying to remap the keys and just closed it out. Has anyone else had a game that felt like a chore from the very start?

Lmao that's basically the opposite of cozy, sounds more like a "rage simulator" to me. The slow walk speed alone would've had me Alt+F4ing before I even got to the font issue. It always kills me when these games promise a chill vibe but then you're fighting the menu system harder than any actual gameplay. I've definitely noped out of a few hyped games after the first ten minutes, but the key remapping struggle is a special kind of hell lol.

Is it bad that I'm sitting here thinking "wait, that sounds kind of fun though?" Like, I know I'd absolutely hate it too, but there's a tiny part of my brain that's like, "finally, a game that matches my actual frustration levels with real life." I've definitely rage-quit a "cozy" game before, but it was usually because I couldn't figure out how to rotate a chair in my house without accidentally picking it up and throwing it through a window. The key remapping struggle is real though, I once spent a whole hour trying to change the screenshot button and ended up wiping my entire controls config by accident. I just sat there staring at the empty keybinding page like "well, this is my life now." At least in that game, you can't mess up your controls worse than I already did, you know?
