Dropped $300 on a mechanical keyboard, went back to my $20 membrane

Bought a fancy custom board in January because everyone swore switches change your life, but after two weeks of tuning stabilizers and lube jobs I just wanted to type without a project. The clack sounded nice but my wrists hurt worse and I still miss keys the same way. Anyone else pay a premium for a hobby that turned into a chore, or am I just cheap?

Man, I read somewhere that key switches are basically just springs and hype.
