Used to hate zombie movies until I watched Dead Alive last Friday
I always thought they were all just slow boring Romero flicks but my buddy forced me to watch Dead Alive and the lawnmower scene had me dying laughing. Has anyone else found a "bad" movie that totally changed their mind about a whole genre?

Dude yes, for me it was Iron Sky with the whole sci-fi genre. I used to roll my eyes at any space movie that wasn't Star Wars but that Nazi moon base joke fest had me cracking up the whole time. Now I actually hunt down those weird B-movie sci-fi flicks because you never know when something that goofy turns out to be a blast.

a blast" is right. It's funny how that happens with stuff we write off. I've started noticing a similar thing with music - those bands with stupid names and terrible album art sometimes have the best songs. It's like the lack of polish means they have to actually try harder to be good, or maybe they just don't take themselves seriously enough to be boring.
