TIL the frog scene in Frogs (1972) is 40 minutes in and my friends quit at the 90 second mark
I used to roll my eyes at slow burn bad movies and skip to the "good" parts, but Saturday night changed my mind. We had five people over, two pizzas, and threw on Frogs expecting killer amphibians in the first scene, but it's just Sam Elliott walking around a swamp house for what felt like forever. One buddy pulled out his phone at minute four and said "this is just a nature documentary with yelling." Honestly the payoff when the frogs finally get someone is worth it, but now I'm wondering if I'm the only one who thinks a bad movie needs a fast start to keep the room awake.
