The time my buddy brought a bootleg copy of 'The Room' to bad movie night

We were all set for bad movie night at my place on Saturday, maybe 8 of us crammed in the living room. My friend Dave shows up with a DVD he bought off some guy behind a gas station for $5, saying it was 'The Room' but the disc was labeled 'The Doom.' Movie starts, and it's literally a 4-hour slow-motion slideshow of a parking lot with a narrator who sounds asleep. We sat through 45 minutes before somebody just flipped on the original streaming version. Has anyone else gotten burned by a bootleg that was somehow worse than the bad movie you wanted to watch?

Used to think bootlegs were funny but that sounds brutal.
