I used to pick so-bad-they're-good movies by random internet lists but now I just let my friend Dave pick because he has a sixth sense for awful 80s action flicks nobody else knows about

Dave found this thing called 'The Bunker' from 1981 where the sound effects are all off by like 2 seconds and the main guy looks like he's reading cue cards taped to the camera, so what's YOUR secret source for finding the truly terrible gems?

The real secret is digging through dollar store DVD bins in small towns. I found a movie called 'Ninja Turf' that way where the main fight scene has a guy in sweatpants who clearly forgot the choreography so he just stands there for like 45 seconds while everyone else flails around him. Another goldmine is checking out collections from studios that went bankrupt in the 80s, their whole catalogs end up on random streaming sites nobody's heard of with titles that sound like they were picked out of a hat.

Love how you found that dude in sweatpants just standing there. Reminds me of how half my life feels like that these days, everyone else acting busy while I'm frozen trying to remember what I'm supposed to be doing next. Dollar stores and dead streaming sites are probably the only honest places left in the world, no polish, no fake perfection. Makes you wonder how much of what we call "quality" is just people being good at covering up their mess.
