Went to a buddy's house in Cleveland last week and his TV setup looked like a spiderweb
He had like 7 cables dangling behind his entertainment center and even a power strip just laying on the floor. Has anyone else seen worse at a friend's place or am I the only one who cares about this stuff?

Oh man, a power strip just laying on the floor? That one got me. I've seen some messy setups in my day but that's a whole new level of "I gave up." My cousin once had so many cables behind his TV that it looked like a rat's nest back there, and he just shoved it all behind a giant speaker to hide it. But the exposed power strip on the floor is just asking for trouble, like a tripping hazard waiting to happen. Your buddy might not care now, but wait until someone kicks that thing and knocks out his whole entertainment center, then he'll learn the hard way. Take this as a gentle nudge to maybe buy him a cable management kit for his birthday.

Velcro straps changed my life. Bought a cheap pack on Amazon for like eight bucks. Wrapped up all my cables behind the TV stand and zip tied the power strip to the leg of the desk. Totally out of the way now.
