Wasted $45 on those fancy velcro cable ties that just slide off after a month

Saw them at a Best Buy in Denver and thought they'd finally tame the rat's nest behind my desk, but every single one lost its grip and now my cables are back to being a tangled mess and I'm back to using dollar store twist ties.

Those velcro cable ties are a total scam, I fell for the same hype at a Micro Center in Atlanta. You said they "lost their grip" - was it the hook side that got all fuzzy and flat, or did the loop part just stop grabbing? I had a pack where the adhesive loop strip peeled off the plastic backing and just turned into a floppy mess. I swear those things only work if you never touch them again.

Read something online where a guy tested those against actual zip ties and the velcro ones failed after about 10 reuses. Seems like they're designed for permanent setups, not the messing around we all do with cables.
