Vent: That $60 cable sleeve kit I thought was gonna fix everything
I grabbed one of those braided cable sleeve kits off Amazon about 2 months ago, thought it would be the magic fix for the rat's nest behind my TV stand. Spent like 40 minutes cutting and routing everything through those tubes, felt like a genius. Then I realized I forgot to leave slack for the console cables, so now my Xbox power brick is hanging halfway off the shelf, held up by tension alone. Anyone else buy a fancy organizer that just created a different kind of mess?

That perfectly describes my situation with those cable clips that stick to the wall. I got the clear plastic ones that are supposed to hold cords flat against the baseboard. Worked great for the first week until the adhesive gave out and all my cables just drooped down in a sad little loop. Now I have sticky residue marks everywhere and a mess that looks worse than when I started. The worst part is the power strip that pulled off the back of my desk and now just dangles there connected to everything. These organizers just shift the chaos somewhere else instead of actually fixing it.

That power strip dangling by its own cord is a disaster waiting to happen. I've seen that exact setup short out and take a few devices with it when the tension finally snaps. How are you planning to deal with the adhesive residue, because I've heard goo gone works but I'm not sure it'll save those baseboards?
