Tripped over my own desk cords during a virtual meeting and took down the router
Was teaching from home last Tuesday and got up to grab a marker. My foot hooked a tangle of cables under my desk and yanked the router off the shelf. Whole class heard me crash and lost connection for 10 minutes. Had to finish the lesson on my phone hotspot. Now I'm thinking about getting some stick-on clips or a raceway to keep stuff off the floor. Anyone got a cheap fix that actually works for a cluttered home desk setup?

Actually I'm going to push back on this whole cord management idea. Those stick-on clips and raceways just create more dust traps and usually fall off after a few months anyway. I've had better luck just using a power strip with a built-in surge protector and tucking the excess cord in a loop under the desk.

Wait, are those sticky clips actually supposed to hold more than a week? Every single one I've tried peeled right off the paint, taking a chunk of the wall with it. I gave up and now I just zip tie the slack to the desk leg under my monitor, looks fine from the front and zero dust drama.
