Took 4 hours to fix a cable mess that should've been 20 minutes

Behind my TV stand in Austin, the rats nest had gotten so bad I couldn't even unplug one thing without pulling two others. I finally sat down with zip ties and labels, thinking I'd knock it out before dinner. Four hours later I was still untangling HDMI cables from speaker wire from an old coax cable that wasn't even plugged into anything. The worst part? Half the problem was a single power strip I mounted upside down, so every plug fought gravity. Anyone else ever find one dumb mistake that made the whole job take way longer than it needed to?

Dude the upside down power strip thing got me. I once spent a whole afternoon fighting a tangle behind my desk, then realized the surge protector was mounted sideways so every cord had to do this weird S curve to reach. Felt SO dumb when I flipped it and everything magically worked.
