My uncle swore zip ties were the only way to manage cords, he was dead wrong
Told me to bundle everything tight behind my TV with industrial zip ties. Three months later I had to swap a HDMI cable and spent 45 minutes cutting through fifteen of them. Anyone else get stuck with advice that made their cable mess worse?

Fifteen zip ties for one TV stand? That's insane. Your uncle must have been trying to seal a crime scene, not manage some cables. I can just picture you snipping away at that mess while sweating and muttering under your breath. Industrial ones too, so probably thick enough to hold a bumper on a truck. I'd have just yanked the whole setup off the wall and started over.
