My dad's old tool bench cable management still haunts me

Saw my brother in law last weekend and he laughed at how my dad used to twist every single cable around a nail on the wall behind his workbench. Started me thinking how I still organize my computer cables the same messy way he did and now I'm tempted to call and ask for tips, anyone else inherit bad habits from a parent?

Call your dad and take notes, because that style of organization at least keeps things from falling behind the bench every time you plug something in.

Still haunts me" implies it wasn't just functional, it was ugly and permanent. A few zip ties and a cheap cable sleeve would have done the same job without making your dad's workspace look like a hardware store exploded.
