A zip tie every 3 inches cut my desk tangle in half, and I learned that from a server room tour in Dallas
The IT guy walked me past a rack with 40 cables and every one was tied down at the same 3 inch gap, not bunched wherever it looked neat. He said loose cable lets things shift and rub, so the spacing matters more than how pretty it looks. Does anyone else space their ties out on purpose, or am I the only one who used to just wrap tape around the pile?
