That one Wednesday my rooster decided to fight the lawnmower
Last week I was mowing the backyard and my rooster, Barnaby, squared up against the riding mower like it was a rival bird. He puffed up his chest, did his little dance, and charged the front tire... I had to shut the blades off and chase him around the coop for 10 minutes. My neighbor saw the whole thing from her kitchen window and laughed so hard she dropped her coffee mug. Has anyone else had a bird lose their mind over a loud machine?

Dropped her coffee mug is sending me lmao. I can just picture her frozen in the window watching a rooster take on a riding mower. That's the kind of wildlife content I live for honestly. Barnaby sounds like he's got more guts than sense. I once had a duck chase a leaf blower around the yard but he quit after like two seconds. Your rooster went full Rocky Balboa on a tire that's hilarious.

@charlie_fisher45 that duck story reminds me of something I read about how roosters don't really back down from anything bigger than them. It's like they lack the part of their brain that says "hey maybe that thing will kill you." Barnaby definitely fits that description. Saw an article online about a farm in Tennessee where a rooster kept challenging the neighbor's ATV every single day for like two weeks straight. The owner had to start driving a different route. Your duck at least quit after a couple seconds which shows some survival instincts. My guess is Barnaby would still be fighting that mower if we hadn't put him in timeout.
