My brand new waterer cracked within a week

Picked up one of those plastic hanging waterers from Tractor Supply last Tuesday and found a crack running down the side by Saturday. Anyone else had issues with those green screw-on lids getting brittle super fast?

Walmart had a blue one that did the same thing to me last summer. Did yours crack near the threads where the lid screws on? Wondering if they all have a weak spot in the same area.

Had a buddy buy the same one and found a hairline crack within three days, absolute junk.
