Medicated starter vs plain starter for new chicks - what I chose

Had to pick between medicated and unmedicated feed for my 8 new chicks. I went with medicated starter because the feed store guy said coccidiosis is bad in our area. First 2 weeks were fine but then they started eating less. I switched to plain starter on week 3 and they perked right up. Anyone else have trouble with chicks not liking the medicated stuff?

Did you check if your medicated starter had amprolium in it? Some chicks just don't like the taste of it, I've heard that's pretty normal.

Pretty sure that's just a taste issue honestly. Some of them can be picky about it.
