Just realized my flock of 5 hens has laid over 1000 eggs since I got them two springs ago.
Ngl, it hit me when I tallied the last dozen and saw the total, making all the feed and coop cleaning feel absolutely worth it for that many breakfasts.

What about the stuff we don't even notice we're doing? Like just listening to someone, or picking up a piece of trash. That's the real quiet work, and it builds up in ways we'll never see. It's kind of nice to think about, honestly. Makes the boring days feel a bit more important.
