I finally saw my hens' eggshells go from thin and weak to rock solid after adding oyster shell to their feed for a full month.

Has anyone else had a specific brand of grit or supplement make that big of a difference for their flock?

A full month is a long time to wait for results. I mean, my girls showed improvement in like ten days with the crushed granite from the farm store. Maybe it's just me but that timeline seems off.

Actually, crushed granite is mostly for grit to help with digestion. The real calcium boost for eggshells comes from oyster shell or limestone flour. Maybe that's why you saw a faster change?
