Can we talk about the rooster who doesn't care about the fence?

I was chatting with my neighbor Linda after her rooster hopped my 5 foot fence for the third time this month, and she said 'he just doesn't respect boundaries, he's 2 years old and set in his ways.' It hit different because I always blamed my fence height, not the bird's personality, so now I'm wondering if anyone else has a chicken that just refuses to stay put no matter what you build?
