TIL a ranger in Yosemite said the best time for the Mist Trail is after 4 PM
Honestly, I always pushed to start at dawn to beat the crowds, but he said the afternoon light through the spray is unreal and way fewer people. Anyone tried hitting popular spots later in the day?

Did you see that article about how the light changes in the late afternoon on that part of the trail? It made the same point about the colors in the mist. I might have to try a later start next time, because fighting the morning rush is honestly kind of miserable. Getting some space to actually enjoy the view sounds way better.
