Pro tip: Found out on the High Sierra Trail that my water filter wasn't broken, my dirty bag was
Six miles past Hamilton Lakes I was about to toss the filter when a guy named Pete showed me the bag had a pinhole letting air in, and after a strip of tape on day 3 of 9 I pulled clean water in under a minute, so now I check bags before I blame gear.
