Got called out at the trailhead for my route plan, changed how I prep every trip
A guy named Dave at the Snoqualmie pass trailhead last month looked at my map printout and asked where my bailout points were. I had none. He said if weather turns on the Kendall Katwalk, you want 3 exit options written down, not just the end goal. Now I mark water sources, camp spots, and escape routes on every route before I go, and honestly the last 2 trips felt way less sketchy. Anyone else build in bailout points or do you just send it?
