A guy at the hostel in Flagstaff said my 45 lb base weight on the Humphreys Peak loop was 'just a gear problem,' and he was right
Cut my pack to 28 lbs for the same 14 mile loop by ditching the camp chair and the 4 lb sleeping bag, and my knees did not hate me for once, so now I want to know what one item you all finally left at home and never missed?

Four lb sleeping bag is not a gear problem, that thing was a body bag. Mine was a 20 degree bag that weighed almost 3 lbs and I never missed it once I switched to a quilt.
