Why does nobody talk about how often D-sub pins get bent on install

A guy at the last depot showed me his pin insertion tool and after I dented three pins in one connector I finally switched over from using needle nose pliers and now I don't waste time reworking them.

The pin insertion tool makes a huge difference. Those old needle nose pliers just don't give you the control you need and you end up bending the pins almost every time. The proper tool has a little guide that holds the pin straight as you push it in. Once you use it a couple times you wonder why you didn't switch sooner.

Bought one for my buddy who was cursing at his Arduino pins for an hour. He called me two days later saying it saved his whole project. Now he won't touch a header without it.
