The wiring diagram lie I found in a 1987 manual
Was tracing a fault in an old radar unit last week and the schematic showed a ground pin that didn't exist on the actual connector. Dug through the original 1987 service manual and found a revision note in the back, printed in tiny font, saying pin 14 was removed in production. Spent three hours chasing that phantom ground. Anyone else find outdated docs that just never get updated?

Wait, they actually buried that in the back of the manual in tiny print? That's unreal. Like, they knew the schematic was wrong and just... left it there, hoping nobody would check the appendix? I once spent a whole afternoon chasing a pin that turned out to be labeled "not installed" in a factory addendum, but at least that was marked on the actual page. Three hours though, that's brutal. You'd think someone would've just drawn a line through pin 14 or added a note on the main diagram, not hidden it like a secret code. Honestly, I'm amazed you even found the revision note at all, most guys would've given up and just blamed the unit itself.
