Swapped my multimeter for a DMM that logs, never looking back

I always thought the basic Fluke 87 was enough for bench work, but last month at the Miami hangar I had to trace a intermittent fault on a G1000 harness. The old meter just showed voltage drops that came and went, drove me nuts for two days. A buddy let me borrow his Keysight with data logging, and seeing the glitch captured on a timeline made the cause obvious, a chafed wire under the floor. Anyone else rely on logging features now, or still trust the classic needle?

Wait, two whole days on a G1000 harness with no data logging? lol that sounds like straight torture, I woulda lost my mind by hour six. Having that glitch pop up on a saved graph makes it so much easier to show the boss exactly what's wrong instead of just pointing at a wire and hoping. Classic meters are cool for quick checks, but once you see the timeline of a fault, it's hard to go back to guessing.
