Spent 3 days chasing a bad ground on a Cessna 172, it was a screw
Rigged up a new Garmin navigator in a 172 last month. Everything checked out on the bench but the second we powered it up in the plane, random resets and flickering screen. Pulled the panel twice, reseated every connector, swapped the unit with another one. Still did it. Finally on day 3 I pulled the tray mount off and found a tiny grounding screw that was barely holding on. Tightened it and problem gone. Has anyone else had a simple hardware issue eat up way more time than it should have?

Three days seems fast honestly, most of my ground issues take a week at least.
