PSA: the guy who trained me said 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' and then spent 20 minutes fixing a perfectly good connector
He was showing me how to route a pitot static line on a Challenger 300 in our hangar in Wichita, and the whole time he's telling me not to touch stuff that's working. Then he stops mid-sentence, looks at his own work from yesterday, and says 'hold on, that doesn't look right' and redoes the whole thing. We ended up 40 minutes behind on the logbook that night, but honestly the line did look cleaner afterwards. Anyone else get trained by someone who talks one way but works another?
Sounds pretty normal to me, guys mess with stuff they shouldn't all the time and it works out fine. Not really sure a 20 minute do-over counts as some big lesson about anything.
