My logbook hit 10,000 hours last week and I did not even notice until a new guy asked
I was cleaning out my truck and found my first logbook from 2009 with a coffee stain on the cover. Added up every page and the total came to exactly 10,004 hours, which means it happened sometime on a Tuesday turnaround in Wichita and nobody said a word about it. Does anyone else keep a paper backup or am I the last guy still doing it the old way?

Man, if hitting 10,000 hours on a random Tuesday in Wichita without even noticing is the big milestone, then I must be the laziest pilot alive because I'd probably miss my own wedding if it wasn't on the schedule. I still keep a paper logbook too, mostly because I don't trust an app that updates itself the second my phone thinks it knows where I am. Sounds like your first logbook with the coffee stain has seen more action than half the fleet, which honestly says a lot. Ten thousand hours and nobody said a word is kind of funny when you think about it, since a new guy asking a simple question is what finally tipped you off. I say keep the paper backup, because a battery dies and a cloud account locks you out, but a stained notebook just keeps sitting there telling the truth.
