I counted my LRU swaps for a year and hit exactly 500, which is way more than I guessed
I keep a little tally in my toolbox lid of every line replaceable unit I pull and replace, mostly out of boredom. Last week I added them up for the year and landed on 500 on the nose. That is about 2 a day if you figure in weekends and slow stretches, which felt like a lot once I saw the number. The funny part is 118 of them were the same radio, just rotating through different tails like a bad penny. My lead said that tracks and that half our fleet is due for a rack check. Anyone else ever actually count their swaps and get surprised by the number?
