Hot take: the old guy at the hangar in Tulsa told me to label every wire before I pull it, and I ignored him for 2 years
Back when I was green, a tech named Walt with about 30 years on me watched me yank a connector off a Cessna panel without tagging a single wire. He said flat out, "son, the five minutes you save now costs you an hour later." I nodded and kept doing it my way, and about 2 years later I spent most of a Saturday tracing a crossed pitot heat lead because I had no idea which pin went where. These days I use masking tape and a Sharpie on every single wire, even the obvious ones, and it has saved me more than once. Funny thing is Walt never said I told you so, he just handed me his label maker. Curious how many of you tag everything versus just snapping phone pics before you pull a connector.
