Found out yesterday that 60% of my wiring faults last year were just bad crimps on D-sub pins.
Was going through old logs for a QA review and that stat from the shop's database legit made me stop for a minute, anyone else double check their crimpers after seeing something like that?

Eh, 60% sounds high but bad crimps happen.

The 40% threshold is where my crimping career peaked honestly. I tried to crimp a 5 pin molex once and ended up with a paperweight that looked like a porcupine threw up on it. The 60% crowd must be using the same magical crimper I keep seeing on YouTube ads that costs more than my car. I'd rather just solder everything and pray the insulation doesn't melt off lmao.
